Brief History

I was born in Colchester and live in a small village on the Essex/Suffolk border. I studied graphic design at university before becoming an estate agent by accident in the late 90s. Fortunately, I started my career working for a brilliant, family run independent agency – Whilst there I gained experience selling and letting property in Colchester, Braintree and Witham and achieved the NAEA (now propertymark) NVQ in the sale of residential property. (Hopefully the future benchmark for everyone in the industry to be licenced). I then qualified as a home inspector/surveyor for the ‘ill fated’ home information packs (HIPS) before founding and running an award-winning High-Street estate agency for the last 11 years. Trading from town centre offices in Halstead and Coggeshall and selling property all over North Essex.


In an ever-changing property market, which is often complicated and difficult to navigate, the skill and experience of your chosen agent can make a tremendous difference to your chances of success and mental well-being.

The world has changed, but the property industry is still full of the same stuffy salespeople in shiny suits, sitting in expensive offices (which are rarely visited), who just do what they have always done; sub-standard marketing, poor photography, a lack of attention to detail and hastily put together transactions are all common place in the industry and ultimately cost you time and money.

I believe there is a better way – it is about working smarter, offering better insight, building relationships, embracing technology, considering everything from others perspective, and throwing out the dusty old rule book.

My way of working is personal and effective, matches people with their dream homes and makes sure everyone gets the outcome they want. I deal with everything personally, from the initial property appraisal, arranging marketing material and advertising, personally handling buyer’s enquiries, accompanying viewings, negotiating sales and liaising with your conveyancer through to final hand over of keys. I have extensive experience negotiating and managing complex transactions having successfully handled over £1BN worth of Essex real estate, I believe there aren’t many others better qualified to personally help sell or let your home.
